Dräger and Gerling, predecessor to Drägerwerk AG, is formed in Lübeck, Germany with 7 employees.
1899
Dräger’s First Patent, the Lubeca Valve, their first pressure reducer.
1904
Dräger developed the first closed circuit respiratory protection apparatus for miners utilizing carbon dioxide absorption.

Dräger wins award at World's Fair in St. Louis for Anesthesia machine.

Dräger develops diver rescue units for submarine crews.
1911
Dräger builds a diving simulator for testing Diving rebreathers.
1914
Pittsburgh Fire Department is equipped with Dräger breathing apparatus.
1915
Dräger develops full face mask for respiratory protection.

New York Fire Department is equipped with Dräger Breathing Apparatus.

Drägers first detector tube developed.
1933
Dräger develops a CO Meter with electrical data transmission.
1939
Mine rescue teams are called "Draegermen". "Draegermen" appear in the first issue of the Superman comic series.

The first model of an Iron Lung for the treatment of Polio was developed by Dräger.

1951
The first portable incubators were developed by Dräger.

1968
Dräger detection tube development is greatly expanded.
