Stationary Gas Detection
Thousands of vehicles pass through tunnels everyday in our capital cities. Although most of the vehicles use catalytical converters to reduce the emission of exhaust gases, there is still a substantial concentration of carbon monoxide, CO, in the tunnel which requires continuous monitoring.
Dräger’s stationary gas detection systems operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to monitor CO and activate either fans to introduce fresh air from outside for dilution or alarms, which automatically block the entrance to the tunnel for vehicles. That way no driver runs the risk of introducing high levels of carbon monoxide into his car or truck.
